Hotel is new, clean and genuinely a high standard. Most hotels I have found in the Sultanahmet region are very old and tend to look it from inside, this hotel is the exception.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Location was a short walk from the main square.
Food in hotel was great, though a minor complaint is that the breakfast buffet was a bit limited (though still very high quality).
Very little to not like to be honest. It is a bit pricey compared to other hotels in the region, but I think its worth it if you want a proper 5*.
Me and my wife were highly impressed by the facilities and service.
Location is walking distance from bazaars and historical sites such as the Blue Mosque.
Quite expensive but worth it for special occasion and short break.
If I had to criticise something it would be some of the staff were hard to communicate with due to lack of English but not really a problem we were well looked after.
I love the spa, rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Location was super , everything nearby . Staff were very welcoming . Check in was super fast. Concierge service was really good . Mini bar was full. Beautiful bathroom .
For elderly people they need to make sure transport service is available to take them to sultan Ahmet . Also taxi service should be available . We nearly missed our flight because no taxi would come , even though the reception guy kept phoning . Just a little bit pricey . Also the power went of in the night, so lights couldn’t open.
Magnifique hôtel style ottoman le service est parfait
Spent 4 nights at Ajwa, this was our second visit. At Ajwa excellence & perfection are the standard. The breakfast was wonderful. The Zeferan restaurant is wonderful I would recommend the Shah Pilav - delicious! The spa and pool area are excellent and have separate operating hours for female and male guests. The hotel is very close to the main historical sites. The other bonus is that it is very close to Cemberlitas metro station so we got an istanlbulkart (Travel card) and explored the whole city really cheaply. The card can be used on buses, trams, cable cars and trains!!! Istanbul is amazing and Ajwa Hotel is the icing on the cake.
La gentillesse la disponibilité l accueil
Food, service, room, comfortable beds, friendly staff. We were very amazed with unique services of the hotel such as: no time limit for breakfast, it is 24h; wonderful spa-wellness facilities (Gym, Saunas, Indoor pools) with men and women hours and plus for families to book individually. We enjoyed our stay as a family and we will come back again.
The only thing the location of the property is not ideal for families with pushchair or for disable people with wheelchair. But this relates to outside of the hotel. Unless you use only taxi it is not a convenient place to go with pushchair/wheelchair.
Emplacement de l’hôtel et service de transport à l’aéroport. Personnel du petit déjeuner très accueillant et serviable.
Manque de transparence pour la possibilité d'avoir le petit déjeuner tout au long de la journée.
The service and staff are absolutely amazing never seen like this before in many hotels stayed
Location is very close to everything but in quite area thats a plus
What can I say about this amazing hotel? When we were choosing where to stay, the problem we found is that the best quality hotels were in the new city, but like many people we wanted to be in the old city so we could walk easily to the tourist sites (blue mosque, topkapi etc). This hotel was the perfect combination of ideal location (a short walk to the main square where all the sites are located, no taxis needed at all), but at an amazing standard. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. If we return to Istanbul we will definitely stay here again inshallah.
Honestly I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like.
everything was fresh clean beautiful and the staff so attentive
cant fault anything
istanbul isn the greatess place for kids,
ideally a play room would be great
Everything was great! The staff are so helpful and welcoming. The room was deluxe in the real sense. The bed was so very comfortable. The bathroom had every facility - great to be in a halal hotel.
The only issue I had was not actually with the hotel. The streets around are old and are not well-maintained and the street lights are dim.
Tout. Absolument tout. Aucune fausse note :-)
High end high quality service and facilities offered. Delicious wide ranging breakfast served to your table. On arrival you are offered Zamzam and Ajwa dates a very nice touch. Staff very receptive and welcoming. In room facilities included:- WiFi ,entertainment system, luxury marble bathroom, molten brown toiletries, wonderfully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, kettle, prayer mats, slippers, snacks and a very well stocked mini bar in your room replenished daily (complimentary). I can only describe their service and hotel as totally flawless. The hotel does not serve alcoholic beverages and the delightful spa has separate availability times for male and female guests.
"Total hospitality" is the key word to describe the hotel. Staff are very attentive. Restaurant is wonderful - food, service and city views. Rooms are super luxurious, in very authentic sultanic style. In the room I stayed all amenities very excellent. For example toiletries were Molton Brown, coffee machine was Jura (top brand), TVs are latest tech. The luxury Spa centre has separate hours for ladies and men, which is very useful for customers like us. The hotel does not serve alcohol, which makes it extra family friendly. Azerbaijani cuisine at the restaurant is special. Breakfast is a set menu and there is breakfast hours concept, meaning if you come and ask for your breakfast at lunch time - you still get as it is included in your hotel room rate.
There is really nothing not to like about the hotel (we had a small problem with aircon in our room when we checked-in but it was promptly resolved by staff).
the only recommendation I would give is to consider booking sea view room at the top floor. Because this is in historical part of Istanbul - non-sea view rooms might be looking at the other neighboring buildings. Not a problem of course but I personally prefer sea view.
