Double Mountain View - 8.2Perfect family 5 day break in Calheta
We stayed at this hotel for 5 day's during the half term break.
The rooms were a good size with balcony overlooking the mountains and sea. We had a interconnecting room with the kids, they loved having thier own room/space.
The food was great! The meat is not halal and can't be requested in advance as halalbooking suggests but there are plenty of veg and fish options. The deserts were very good!
We reccomend going into Funchal and jeep safari if you want to explore Madeira, the hotel organised this for us and we had the best time.
It was warm but not warm enough to use outdoor pools. Kids were more than happy with the heated indoor pool which was never too busy.
They had kids club on during 3 of the day's with activities such as walking to the beach and painting stones, making pancakes etc it was great to be able to leave kids and have a few hours adult time I'm the spa etc.
The beach you can access through the hotel and also if you walk down 10 minutes through the front there's a great little park on the beach.
Overall we had a perfect stay.
